Hey guys it’s Gabe again with another post about a book  that I was reading for over a month in my English/Social Studies class but still took time out of my day to read after school. OK the book is about an 11 year old named Jonas who lives in a community that is very communist and awkward. He about to turn the age of the 12 which is big thing in his community because it’s the last of the ceremonies in his community and is a major turning point in his life, this is because at the age of 12 they assign you a job and you keep with that job until you either die or you get so you old you must go to the house of the old. Anyways, Jonas gets assigned the job as ” The Receiver of Memory” this job lets him receive memories of the past and to see many other things such even Color! He later decides that he wants the other to live like the way he lives having feelings, seeing color, being able to see what had happened in the community. He later decides to flee the community with his brother (my name) Gabriel which you can learn who he is by either reading the book or Goggling it.

All and all I give this book a 9/10, I wanted to see a better ending.

BTW: I recommend the audio version so you stay interested and makes the story more easier to understand and keep track of, oh and to keep sure you hear ever single last word.
